The dedicated platform will deliver free access to trusted reporting and financial literacy resources designed to empower and educate readers

New York, NY – [December 12, 2023] – Dow Jones, a global news and business intelligence provider, today announced a new content offering dedicated to delivering financial literacy information, tools and resources. Through this initiative, Dow Jones will leverage its portfolio of premium publications to provide access to essential information that will help empower and educate people about managing their finances.

Launching in 2024, the hub will live on dowjones.com, and will offer a curated selection of service journalism, accessible analysis and additional resources from The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch and Investor’s Business Daily, as well as select partners.

“Financial literacy is core to Dow Jones and we are delighted to offer this new platform which will help equip people with trusted information, tools and resources to better understand and navigate their personal finances,” said Almar Latour, CEO of Dow Jones and Publisher of The Wall Street Journal.

The financial literacy initiative is part of Dow Jones’s mission to bring trusted news and information to help people make decisions in business, policy and at the kitchen table. To lead the program’s development, the company has tapped Joe Lanza, an accomplished executive with more than 30 years of senior management experience in the financial services and financial information businesses. Lanza rejoins Dow Jones, where he has held numerous roles, including as President of Dow Jones Financial Markets Group, Director of Financial Education at Dow Jones Media Group and founder of the long-running Barron’s in Education program.

Operation HOPE, a non-profit organization focused on financial literacy, is joining the initiative as a launch partner.

Dow Jones earlier this year joined Operation HOPE’s Financial Literacy for All (FL4A) coalition of more than 40 leading organizations that are committed to embedding financial literacy into the nation’s schools, workplaces, communities, and culture.
